Dr. Shakked is a board-certified physician with decades of experience at the intersection of mental health and medicine.  With a history of serving as the medical director of eating disorder treatment centers, she gained extensive experience in the complexity of these illnesses and their treatment.

Her practice is based on treating patients not just as cases, but as whole and beautifully complex human beings. She most appreciates medicine's quiet, complicated corners, and in exploring the ways in which health, illness, and wellness are part of the human experience.

“Working with Dr. Shakked has been the most valuable journey in my nursing career. She understands eating disorders, and mental health in a way I’ve never encountered elsewhere. Her approach is gentle, yet informative and supportive. When she is your doctor, you feel deeply cared for and that in itself helps people so much.”

Jen M., RN
